Close House Hotel is one of the finest wedding venues in north east England together with an international golf course, and a fitting location for Victoria and Stuart's wedding celebrations.
Vicky was bridesmaid for one of my previous brides, Sarah at Crathorne Hall in North Yorkshire a few years ago so my booking for this wedding came as many of mine do...  I'm passed around between friends and families - recommendation of the highest order!
Vicky, as she will tell you herself is 'very picky', particular I would say but certainly no Bridezilla, in fact she was an absolute delight and Stuart was in awe for all her preparations and plans as he worked abroad for much of the year.
Vicky and I had chatted on Facebook, and, like many of my brides and grooms they wanted to enjoy their day without the fuss and stress they had seen at other weddings with 'photographers'.
They had seen me in action at the other wedding and they knew that for me, relaxation, great atmosphere on the day and allowing the B&G and their families to really enjoy and get into the spirit of the day as if there wasn't a photographer there is paramount.
It's rare that I spend time with the groom during the preparations for the day, so it was nice to arrive at Stuart's parent's house good and early and hang-out with the Stuart and his two best men Stuart (again) and Kenny and his family - they were in good spirits as was Vicky and 'the girls' and her parents when I called around on my way to the church.
Vicky's stunning Mooshki Bridal wedding gown that she had input into the design of was sensational, and so the right wedding dress for her along with her headpiece designed to go with the dress by LouLou Puchalka based in the Corn Exchange in Leeds.
All was happy and chilled out at the family church when Vicky arrived with her father to walk her down the aisle and I could see clearly that Stuart was blown away by the sight of his fiancee as she came to him in church to become the new Mrs Elliott!
Blue skies and sunshine greeted the happy couple as they left church for kisses and cuddles, bear-hugs and backslaps and then we headed up the road north for an hour to chill-out at Close House Hotel.
Stuart and Vicky arrived at the hotel is good spirits, even though their wedding car had took them on a circuitous route, but they still had 40 minutes before the team at Close House wanted everyone inside for the wedding breakfast.
Usually we have an hour or even 90 minutes at most wedding venues to relax and get into the spirit of the day, but here I - and they - were on a much tighter schedule, so it was head down for me and capture the room before people arrived and to get a few images of the happy couple in there too, along with their wedding cake from  Celebrations Cakes.
Outside, there were lots of nice candid images to capture, with children and adults playing on the lawn in front of the Orangery and it took just 10 minutes to make sure I had photographs of the bride and groom and their closest family members 'in the bag' as we headed in for a wonderful meal (thank you folks) and hugely entertaining speeches with laughter and tears!
Stuart's poem reading to Vicky in the church was heart-rending, and he had another surprise in his speech with another amazing eulogy to his new wife .. tears all round, including me of course - as ever!
Afterwards, the weather was still very nice indeed, a little overcast, but warm, so we took 10 minutes out to capture some nice wedding portraits of the two of them, before I worked with their families and friends to capture some nice natural images - along with a mad group shot of 'the girls' and 'the boys' before we headed off to the 19th for evening celebrations.
Stuart and Vicky cut the cake, had their first dance and then a dance-off started between their friends and relatives which was huge fun, followed by a band from Dublin that Stuart had met on his stag weekend and invited over to play!
So ... it was almost 10pm before I headed off for the hour's drive home, a long day indeed, but full of happiness and laughter and such a relaxed day for all their family and friends.
I hope you enjoy this Sneak Peek, just a fraction of the images which capture the real people at a real wedding - taken naturally.
See ALL their photographs HERE on their return from honeymoon - you will need passwords from the bride and groom and / or their family to view. Read all my latest reviews HERE
